This is the basil from Florida. Look how good it is doing still!!
Check out our awesome Swiss Chard:
Seriously, it's as big as my head!
Our peas did well this spring. Here Lisa is tending to them:
So pretty!
We also discovered that Vivian LOVES peas. Pod and all. We even caught her eating them right off the plants. I think she likes them more than Beggin Strips...
A few strawberries:
Beets:
The tomatoes are looking pretty good both on the deck:
And in the garden (they really like the tomato towers):
We'll have ripe tomatoes before you know it! Cherokee purple:
Amish paste (these are a new variety for us, and so far look awesome):
red onions:
We discovered a tip to keep the squash vine borers away -- plant onions in with your zucchini:
Ground cherries:
LOTS of ground cherry volunteers. So many, that Lisa potted a bunch and gave them away at work.
I just love this photo. The ant looks like he's saying, "hi mom!":
My perennial garden:
Chili peppers:
Our one major crop failure was with the corn, which was a new thing for us. We might try it again, but first we'll have to out-smart the culprit:
This bunny was about as big as my hand, and SO totally cute. I think Vivian cornered her under the deck last week (don't worry, no bloodshed), so I don't think she'll come around anytime soon.
We'll post more soon, we promise!
