Vivian loves the snow, and especially loves to eat it. She got to romp in it a little, but it unfortunately all melted by mid-day Tuesday.
It's hard to believe that was just a week ago, since today we got all our seed starting stuff out and planted our first of the spring seeds (spinach and leeks). We even got outside for a bit this evening to start working the soil. It feels so good to be out there again.
I know you don't believe us, but we are going to be very disciplined this year and only start one flat. We are growing a few new flowers that can all be direct sown, and we're attempting to really cut back on our veggies. We'll see what happens!
Those of you who know Vivian well know her affinity for stealing. Her usual targets are shoes, face wash (or lotion), and spaghetti.* Lately she's shown a fondness for the bag of kitty litter. She actually has to squeeze her head in the door of the closet where it is kept and drag it out, which makes it a fun challenge for her.
And finally, more delicious bread. Jen is letting us borrow her breadmaker and Lisa has been making a fresh loaf each week. Here is a little wheat loaf from last week:
Today she made some non-breadmaker bread, a white and a rosemary. We've already cut into the rosemary loaf -- Yummy!
